Additionally being dressed in a tuxedo is a clear convention for not only spy films but Bond as a symbol also the undone bowtie particularly connotes this.

The film poster obviously makes centre stage for the protagonist of James Bond, not only is he the symbol of the film, but also for the entire series of Bond films. While yes I think that my film poster will a lot different to this in terms of the tone and aesthetic, it is still worthwhile analysing because of the similar genre to my adventure short film and so allows me to have a broader knowledge of everything that can fit into my genre. It comes across very professional and to the point, instilling everything an action, adventure, thriller should when aiming for a slightly higher target audience than the poster of ‘The Goonies’ and certainly ‘Bridge to Terabitihia’. Speaking technically and aside from the James Bond label, I think the poster is of a very high standard and has a sleekness to it that I haven’t come across in my two other previous poster analyses. Casino Royale is the 1st Bond film featuring Daniel Craig in the shoes of 007 and as far as the film poster goes, creates an on edge, professional tone that I think is worth looking into while researching film posters.
